![]() ![]() My Cpu is a Phenom II x4 965 140w processor. I am trying to cool my system in general, so i want a decent cooling case and i am also probably going to get a cpu cooler (either coolermaster v8, zalmzan cnps10xtreme, thermalright ultra 120 or the titan fenrir (any recommendations?) So as u can see this case is abit annoying for many reasons (impractical, foam traps heat, non existent cable management, only 2 fans which are bad. This makes the interior absoloutely discuisting as well as trapping even more heat (as if i needed that). However cleaning all of them requires removing / replacing 28 thumb screws ! (2 for each side panel, 8 screws per HD cage.if it gets annoying, will drop to 2 screws per cage.) OTOH.a vacuum at front of case grille works just fine.Ĭase looks H U G E on the PS Build desk (aka dining room table) however when brought upstairs was only like an inch taller than Antec it replaced. Case is a bit heavier than the 932.a plus for "sturdiness", however I consider it a minus when liftingĨ. You shouldn't need an extension for the 8 pin EP power cable if you use an Antec PSU.ħ. In the sketch below, the fan is installed cocked 45 degrees so a corner is at the top. Having a second fan at bottom of PSU caused the slight interference. If I had used only one fan on top of the Prolimatech Megahalems HSF, wouldn't have had to do anything. You may have to use a dremel tool to trim the corner off one side of a fan housing. The two optional fans are great for adding extra airflow over the GFX card. However, the 1200 also is one of the few that can handle Antec's new CP-850 which is just a hair under the quality of the SG-850 for about half the price.ĥ. Looking at he PSU's alone, I'd give the SG a slight edge due to quietness. The best match for the 1200 is the SG series (650/850) from Antec. The best match for the 932 is the HX series (650/850 watts) of PSU's from Corsair. confused ? The provided speed control switches negate using the rear and top fans w/ rheostats (fan controllers).Ĥ. ![]() On the down side, 1200 includes 3 position switch fan control on the top and rear fans. On the plus side, 1200 includes 3 position switch fan control on the top and rear fans and variable speed knobs on the front 3 fans.ģ. LED's can be turned off via switches if the bling starts to bother you.Ģ. I agree w/ everyone else on the 1200 / 932 as being the top two choice.just about always comes down to looks.I prefer the more subdued 1200.then again, I'm an old fart. Its so hard to decide when youve never handles the case yourself Im not sure which is more roomy and just how practical either is. Well both the haf 932 and antec 1200 are about the same price which makes deciding very hard. ![]()
